Guided tour of the renovated Knopfhäusle

For this year's Urban Development Day, the city of Freiburg is offering a public tour of a renovated apartment in the Knopfhäusle housing estate in Freiburg's Oberau district. Anyone who has always wanted to see what the micro-apartments look like from the inside now has the opportunity to do so. This is not an apartment tour for prospective tenants and the meeting point for all registered persons is at 3 p.m. next to the playground in front of the building at Schwarzwaldstrasse 62.

The renovation of the listed former workers' housing estate is now well advanced. The first construction phase was completed in 2022 and the second is in its final stages. The four buildings at Schwarzwaldstrasse 60 and 62 as well as 66 and 68 are currently being brought up to a technically state-of-the-art standard, but from the outside they look very similar to their original historical state.

Important to note: The guided tours are not barrier-free. If you are unable to take part in the tour but are still interested in what the Knopfhäusle estate looks like after the renovation, you can take a virtual tour: www.freiburg.de/knopfhaeusle

Register by Wednesday, 1 May at: aps@stadt.freiburg.de or by calling 0761 201-4027 Virtual tour: Information about the urban development day: www.tag-der-staedtebaufoerderung.de
