To this day, early photographs of impressive temples, traditionally dressed people and fascinating landscapes continue to shape the image of Japan in Europe. Participants will learn on a guided tour of the exhibition "Creating Memories: Japanese Photographs," how the country became a place of longing for many travelers in the 19th century.
