Guest performance: Lotte Paepcke - Scenic reading by the senior theater "die methusalems"

Book tickets

Following performances at the SWR Studio Freiburg and the newly opened Documentation Center for National Socialism in Freiburg, "die methusalems" will be giving a guest performance at the Literaturhaus with a reading from Lotte Paepcke's "Ein kleiner Händler, der mein Vater war". The Jewish writer's story is about her father Max Mayer, the former Freiburg leather merchant and SPD city councillor. He had to flee from the National Socialists to Switzerland at the last moment and was able to emigrate from there to the USA years later. Directed and written by Ullo von Peinen.
