Greenmotions Film Festival: Bottlemen (OmeU)

The Greenmotions Film Festival will be opening its doors to you again this year. From November 5 to 9, we invite you to exciting films, discussions and encounters at the Kommunale Kino. Every year we dedicate part of our program to a special question. This year's special theme is: "Closing the loop: living within planetary boundaries". We look forward to showing you films that shed light on how we can move from a linear to a circular way of life that conserves our planet's resources and can thus exist in harmony with our environment. On the outskirts of the Serbian capital Belgrade lies one of the largest landfills in Europe - Vinča. Once an archaeological site of the European Neolithic period, this toxic site, plagued by fires, is a workplace for a community of plastic bottle collectors - Bottlemen. In this documentary western, we follow the final days of this community before their work becomes obsolete, focusing on the struggle of kind-hearted boxer Yanika to act as a group leader in a chaotic system.

Accessibility notes: The movie theater is accessible via a ramp. The toilets are also accessible with a wheelchair. The movie theater is equipped with an inductive sound system.
