Green infrastructure in the city: Excursion to urban trees in Freiburg

The excursion is intended to give interested parties an understanding of the diverse effects of trees in Freiburg. We will also present our Talking Trees, which determine soil water stress every minute and measure the amount of water that trees transport in their trunks. We will also explain how diameter growth, an important indicator of vitality, behaves in different situations. For this purpose, several trees in the urban area of Freiburg were instrumented as part of the ICN research project Zukamas and will be presented during the excursion. - Registration required.
