Green wood workshop: Wooden bowls for life

Green wood workshop: Wooden bowls for life

Using only a sculptor's axe and an adze, we create beautiful wooden bowls from freshly cut wood in a small group. Beforehand, we will learn how to use these special tools safely and how to work with them. On the 2nd date, we will finish the bowls that have dried by then.

Courses in the green wood workshop
The forest house (WaldHaus) has been running a green wood workshop since it opened in 2008. Working with freshly felled wood used to be widespread. It is easier to work with than dried wood. In addition to working on the cutting axe with draw knives, other special techniques and tools are used. Our workshop manager Frank Janson and other experienced instructors teach the art and skill of green woodworking in various courses.
