Hammond Jazz Night - Werner Acker Organ Trio

Guitarist Werner Acker has been a sought-after guitarist on national and international club and festival stages for 40 years now. With his stylistic diversity, his excellent technique and his distinct feeling, he also shapes the sound of the "Roots Band" formation he founded, in addition to his organ trio. He can also be heard with Thomas Siffling Gentlemen's Choice, Kimi & the Soulman, Silent Hours with Annette Ehrlich, Peter Lehel, Helen Schneider, Fola Dada, Jessye Norman, Wolfgang Dauner, as a guest of the SWR Big Band and in numerous theater and musical productions with Ute Lemper, among others.
Herbert Wachter is the drummer of the band "GERMAN BRASS", which is currently celebrating its 50th anniversary on stage. As a jazz drummer, he has played with the Martin Schrack Trio, the Uli Gutscher Quartet, the SWR Big Band feat. Don Menza, Paquito d'Rivera, Benny Bailey and many more.
Host Thomas Bauser has been playing regularly in Werner Acker's Organ Trio for some time.
The program includes tunes in typical Hammond Trio style from Wes Montgomery to Pat Metheney.
