Sunday, 12.04.2026 "Happy Trails" - hikes in English: Zähringer Castle loop
This intermediate hike is for English speakers and anyone who would like to practice their English in a relaxed setting. We'll explore the woods around Zähringen and enjoy casual conversation along the way.
Walking time: approx. 3 hours (5 km), including breaks
Elevation gain: 233 m, intermediate
Meeting point: 10:50 AM at Freiburg Hauptbahnhof, platform 5, near the stairs to the streetcar station (we'll take S2 "Bleibach" to Zähringen) or 11:10 AM at Zähringen train station, platform 2. A train ticket is required.
Please wear sturdy shoes, dress appropriately for the weather, and bring your own snacks and water. An optional stop at a restaurant can be included.
