Heroes and losers - the basics of acting (intensive weekend)

The following questions will be addressed in this course: How do I develop a scene? How do I develop a role? How do I work with a given text? We will explore the development of emotions in a theatrical character and work on their specific physicality. Using acting exercises and guided improvisations, we will learn the so-called basic grammar of acting. We work on our instrument, the body, and learn the conscious use of breath and voice. We also approach the following questions through exercises: How do I increase my presence in the room? How do I create expression, credibility and authenticity? We learn how to perform a given text in a lively, credible and repeatable way. Participants are welcome to bring along a small excerpt (monologue and dialog) that they like and that we can work on. The seminar is suitable for theater enthusiasts with and without stage experience or special previous knowledge.
