Helpful drawing techniques as the basis for a successful botanical drawing

"Learning to draw is learning to see" (after John Ruskin) Nothing else will encourage you to look at plants more closely and from all angles than drawing. By sharpening your powers of observation, you will discover more and more details, indeed, a new world! The pencil is the ideal medium for putting these plant studies on paper. We will create clear outline drawings, explore the shapes of the plants through tonal drawings and devote ourselves to depicting the different structures of the plants using different pencil thicknesses. Finally, we will work on depicting flowers and leaves from different perspectives. Beginners are welcome! - Please bring your own drawing materials (writing and drawing paper, pencils H, HB, B, eraser, kneaded eraser, sharpener, set square and magnifying glass).
