The merciless tour by Historix-Tours®
An actress slips into the role of the real Anna Gaißerin R.I.P.

Long since scorned at the "Galgenmättli", she returns once again: the poor sinner Anna Gaißerin! For was she herself to blame for her fate, which ultimately led her to the scaffold? Or was she not rather the victim of her hostile environment? Listen to her incredible life story, her numerous affairs with selfish soldiers, her forced existence as a prostitute and her sad end as a "child murderer". Be there when "merciless Anna" reveals what really happened!

Meeting point: main portal of St. Martin's Church (on Rathausplatz)
Duration: approx. 90 minutes

A gripping, exciting and, above all, extremely entertaining tour into the darkest corners of the city. The character is based on the real-life case of Anna Gaißerin (+1685). In addition to her tragic and moving fate, you will also learn interesting details about Freiburg's legal system, amusing anecdotes about conceited humanists and cunning nuns. And Anna takes you to the gallows and the place of execution!

Recommended for ages 16 and up!
