Timber auction in Waltershofen

At this year's wood auction in the Waltershofen forest, around 100 cubic meters of firewood will go under the hammer under the direction of the municipal forestry office and the Waltershofen local administration.
Food and drink will be provided by the volunteer fire department from 1 pm. There will also be stick bread for children, pony rides and a forest rally at 2 pm and 3.30 pm in cooperation with the Freiburg forest house (WaldHaus), in which interested adults can also take part.
The minimum price for firewood is 80 euros per stere for 1m long logs and 55 euros per stere for long firewood in stacks of 6-10 steres along the forest road.
How to get there
Visitors can reach the wood auction from the road between Waltershofen and Umkirch or past the Waltershofen sports facilities. The route is signposted. You can also reach the auction site on foot or by bike via Mundenhof and Staudenweg, and there are bus connections via the VAG lines to the entrance to Waltershofen.
