"Hot Milk"

In Hot Milk, Sofia accompanies her sick mother to Spain, where their relationship turns out to be a psychologically stressful co-dependency. The oppressive heat and surreal images reflect Sofia's inner struggle between her duty of care and her desire for self-liberation. The film offers a multi-layered reflection on dependency, control, psychological stress and physical suffering, spiced with melancholic nature aesthetics and symbolic imagery.
