Tugba Gülyesil is a new, independent voice on the Istanbul music scene.
The singer is already known to a wider audience in Turkey thanks to her appearances on various television programs. Her music is simple, pure, modulating the poetic lyrics of traditional Turkish songs. She combines her clear voice with the sound of the frame drum in a unique way, giving the songs an immediate presence and urgency that is hard to resist.

Tugba Gülyesil and Murat Coskun are meeting in person for the first time in Freiburg. In addition to Tugba's songs, they will present a joint program, partly improvised, partly newly arranged and interpreted. Malika Coskun, a young frame drummer who has already performed at several concerts with her father, joins them as a guest.
The Anatolian drumming tradition is coming to the old Wiehre railway station!
