Always walked on, never noticed. Freiburg’s cobblestone mosaics and the University campus Freiburg

The unique kaleidoscope of Freiburg’s cobblestone mosaics naturally features not only traditional, political, or simply pretty motifs, but also some academic references.

The two-hour tour takes you to the city’s most beautiful cobblestone squares, past the masterpieces commemorating Freiburg’s sister cities in front of the town halls, and finally to the university-related mosaics around the college buildings. Along the way, you’ll gain an appreciation for the craftsmanship, marvel at the beauty, and ponder the mysteries.
