IN MODO SEMPLICE - Choral works by old masters

With its concert on Sunday, April 19, 2026, the semplice vocal ensemble invites you to the Lukaskirche at 7 pm. The program "In modo semplice" combines sacred a cappella

a cappella works from the Renaissance and early Baroque periods by Heinrich Schütz, William Byrd, Claudio Monteverdi and Jacobus Gallus. Their compositions combine simple forms and great expressiveness, tonal clarity and emotional depth.

The focus is on a clear, undisguised tonal language that leaves room for the effect of the music itself. The result is an immediate listening experience that is completely

out of simplicity.
