An international festival that celebrates the richness of global cultures promotes diversity and inclusion in the community. It sends a strong message of openness, acceptance and unity in diversity, promoting a more tolerant society. It is an innovative meeting concept that invites migrants and locals to participate and exchange.

Day 1:

Opening of the Intercultural Week (IKW) 2024 in Freiburg, among others by Mayor Ulrich von Kirchbach
Information stands from organizations and associations involved in integration work
Speeches on cultural diversity, participation and African heritage
Success stories of former African refugees, especially Gambians, who have completed an apprenticeship and are working here in the region
Children's programs for World Children's Day: e.g. with painter Malack Silas
