International orchestra meeting: Kammerphilharmonie Freiburg and the Meadows Chamber Orchestra Edinburgh

The Kammerphilharmonie Freiburg invites you to a special musical event on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at 7 p.m. in the Martinskirche Müllheim and on Sunday, October 12, 2025, at 6 p.m. in the Bürgerhaus: Together with the Meadows Chamber Orchestra from Edinburgh, under the direction of Scottish conductor Peter Evans, they will be performing a cross-border concert project for the first time. The concert will begin with Beethoven's Egmont Overture. This will be followed by Mendelssohn's Violin Concerto in E minor, performed by the 14-year-old soloist Rhea Fitzgerald. With the "Dance Variations" by British composer Peter Nelson, the program sets a lively contemporary accent before Dvořák's Eighth Symphony brings the evening to a festive close with folk song-like themes and lively energy.
