Iryna Dzhava - Žuravelʹ - Crane | Ukrainian folk tales

Free entry

Bilingual children's reading with picture book cinema

The book "Žuravelʹ - Crane" opens a door into the world of Ukrainian folk tales. The fairy tales, read in German and Ukrainian, whisk children and adults away to a world full of magic and warmth. When courageous and clever heroes encounter dragons, make friends with talking animals and face unexpected trials, stories full of friendship, hope, love and trust emerge.

Editor Iryna Dzhava revives a part of Ukrainian heritage and shows that fairy tales remain alive as long as we continue to tell them. Inspired by Ukrainian art, Mariana Mikitiuk's illustrations give the fairy tales their own visual language, bringing the stories to life in a magical way.

A reading with Iryna Dzhava (publisher) and Niklas Fimm (kubez).
