James Last: Ceremony to mark the donation of his artistic estate to the University campus Freiburg

The community of heirs of the German bandleader, composer and arranger James Last will hand over his artistic legacy to the University campus Freiburg on Thursday, September 25 at 6:15 pm. The Vice-Rector for University Culture, Prof. Dr. Sylvia Paletschek, and the Chancellor of the University, Christina Leib, will accept the bequest. The ceremonial act is embedded in the conference "Non Stop Dancing to Melodies for Millions - Dance and Entertainment Orchestras in Germany from the Post-War Era to Today", which the Center for Popular Culture and Music (ZPKM) is organizing on 25 and 26 September 2025. Journalists will have the opportunity to talk to James Last's heirs and ZPKM officials.
