Welcome to Kamishibai - the Japanese paper theater! Kamishibai is an art form that originated in its current form in the 1930s as street theater. During the sequence of picture sheets in a wooden box, the kamishibai player recites a story for the audience. With these stories from the world of Japanese animals and legends, the storyteller wants to bring her audience a little closer to the distant land of Japan.
An event of the Japanese Culture Day 2026 - The performance is free of charge, donations are welcome.
