Jazzhaus Youth Orchestra & Junior Jazz Choir - Jazzhaus Choir Days 2024

It's been in the air for a while, but now it's finally going to happen: a collaboration between the two most successful youth jazz ensembles in Freiburg.
On the one hand, there is the big band "Jugend Jazzhaus Orchester" (including a double concert with SWR Big Band / concert tours to Greece) under the direction of British pianist Will Bartlett, and on the other, the Junior Jazz Choir (winner of the Baden Choir Competition / performances with New York Voices and Max Mutzke), directed by David Brooke.
On January 28, 2024, both ensembles will perform together on stage with a total of around 50 members. This opens up great possibilities of almost epic proportions: they can tackle really "big" numbers (Snarky Puppy, Count Basie, Kenny Wheeler,...) and both ensembles will perform in every conceivable combination.
The concert marks the finale of the Jazzhaus Choir Days 2024.
