Katie Melua & Band come on tour in 2023 with songs from her new album and all the hits

"Love & Money" is also the title of Katie Melua's latest CD and the Germany tour. In addition to songs from her ninth studio album since 2003, the Georgian-British singer/acoustic guitarist and her quintet will, of course, perform the world-famous pop gems "Nine Million Bicycles," "The Closest Thing To Crazy" and "If You Were A Sailboat."

The European Culture Prize winner with the "enchanting angelic voice" (Stuttgarter Zeitung) already gave a first taste of "Love & Money" (release date: March 24, 2023) at her concerts here in Germany last August: "Golden Record" is the name of the song. It's about how family and being a pop star can be brought together. This has become a very personal topic for Mrs. Melua herself. The 38-year-old daughter of a heart surgeon is pregnant for the first time. By the time the German tour takes place, however, she will already be a mother. Then Katie will be able to devote herself again to what she is known and loved for: music. After all, her name is the epitome of first-class live performances. This was once again emphasized by the reviews for her guest appearances in the summer of 2022, exemplified by the review in the Neue Züricher Zeitung: "The exactly 90-minute concert is a single euphony, everything is perfectly tuned, Melua doesn't sing a false note.... Everything is dreamily secure. So sure, so floating, so ethereal, that at some point you're no longer sure that what's happening on stage isn't just happening in your mind's eye."
