AI - Home alone
Saturday, 14/02/2026 / 07:00 PM - 08:10 PM / Theater Freiburg - Workroom
Gesa, Michael and Bene actually want to show their new Christmas play, but things turn out differently than planned. The three of them rattle the door to their dressing room, but it is firmly locked. The situation is serious, because the performance should have started long ago. And as the panic in the cramped room grows, a terrible suspicion arises: Could it be that an AI has taken control of the performance? In an attempt to save the performance, things get completely out of hand ... Between Christmas magic, crime thriller, slapstick and science fiction, this turbulent comedy deals with being human in the age of artificial intelligence. The play asks what happens when our environment is smarter than we are: How does it feel to suddenly no longer be allowed to play along? And what does an AI do when it is all alone at home? This pre-programmed chaos in 5 acts was brought to the stage by the team that recently produced plays such as Oz, Frankenstein and Die Verwandlung - Kafka für alle at Theater Freiburg.
