Separation and divorce children's group

When parents separate or divorce, this changes the life situation of children and young people significantly. Depending on the family situation, they have to adjust to visiting arrangements, changes of school and home and material restrictions. Their parents' new partners may also come into their lives.
Feelings of anger, sadness and shame confuse and burden the children. They wonder whether they are partly to blame for their parents' separation. They are often afraid of losing a parent and sometimes they take on tasks that are too much for them. The group offers support and relief to the children concerned. They can experience that they are not alone in their experience and express their feelings about the separation of their parents in the group.
