SoundLights for Advent - Cuadro Sur

For the second time, the guitar trio CUADRO SUR accepts the invitation of the Freiburg Guitar Society and concludes its 2024 concert series with a harmonious program for Advent. The trio, based in Freiburg and Offenburg, has been synonymous with playful ease, precision, virtuosity and blind understanding when playing together for years.
The evening's program includes festive music with two Corelli sonatas, French impressionism with Fauré, tango classics and moving film music by Ennio Morricone. However, the time and place also suggest pre-Christmas moments. It is the self-confessed Christmas aficionado Thomas Vogt who has made original arrangements of some well-known but also rarely heard melodies for Cuadro Sur especially for this evening. The exclusivity of the arrangements and compositions are another trademark of this trio, which never fails to delight guitar music lovers.
