Born in Israel Moshe Haas is a cantor and trained opera singer. He is accompanied on the piano by the Freiburg native (since 2022) Bernd Grussendorfuniversity lecturer and accompanist.
Works by composers who were born Jewish, such as Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy and Gustav Mahler, pieces with a Jewish connection, such as Verdi's Chorus of the Hebrews in Babylonian Captivity (Va pensiero) and songs with texts by (originally) Jewish poets such as Heinrich Heine.
A detailed concert program including detailed information about the artists will be available on the evening.
