Art break: "Pretty and decorative" - flower painting

Mirja Straub will guide visitors through the presentation she has curated on the top floor of the Augustian museum entitled "Shown in the Light - Women Artists of the 19th Century". The focus is on the image of women at the time. Many women artists became flower painters or specialized in still lifes, as these genres were considered socially acceptable and corresponded to the prevailing role models. Participation costs the regular entrance fee. The number of participants is limited.
