Eugène Boudin is considered a pioneer of open-air painting and an important forerunner of the Impressionists. His fellow artist Baptiste Camille Corot called him the "King of the Skies". Museum educator Beate Reutter explains what lies behind this respectful nickname using selected works from the exhibition "Light and Landscape. Impressionists in Normandy" at the Augustian museum.
