Curator's tour: Light and landscape

Mirja Straub guides visitors through the exhibition "Light and Landscape" at the Augustian museum, which she curated and which is based on the "Peindre en Normandie" collection from Caen. Rugged cliffs or long sandy beaches, the sea and a picturesque sky: more than seventy works - for example by Jean-Gustave Courbet, Baptiste Camille Corot and Claude Monet - show the importance of Normandy for Impressionism. Painted snapshots in the open air characterize the style. Participation costs 2.50 euros plus admission.
