Laura Braun's subtle compositions are characterized by autobiographical texts and social criticism that hurts. The eloquent Freiburg native ventures into the darkest moments of her own life story with an unmistakable voice and pointed piano playing and does not spare uncomfortable topics such as poverty or depression. Despite the emotionally profound lyricism, the musicology graduate manages the feat of singing about a path that creates courage and hope in the spirit of modern times, and on which it is also possible to laugh out loud.
