ReadingLounge: "Berthe Morisot, the secret of the woman in black"
Friday, 12/09/2025 / 05:30 PM - 06:30 PM / Augustinermuseum (Augustian Museum)
At the next edition of the LeseLounge at the Augustian museum, actress Renate Obermaier will read from the biography "Berthe Morisot, the secret of the woman in black" by Dominique Bona.
The Impressionist style includes many important artists who are generally known today and have become an integral part of art history. The fact that there were also some important women is often overlooked.
The exhibition "Light and Landscape. Impressionists in Normandy" shows a work by Berthe Morisot. The biography sheds light on her talent, her irrepressible artistic will and her networking with representatives of the avant-garde scene. At the same time, it takes a look at the limiting circumstances of her life.
Participation costs 10 euros, concessions 8 euros. Tickets are available in the online store.
