Reading - Authoritarian Rebellion

The Goethe-Institut Freiburg, in cooperation with the Heinrich Böll Foundation Baden Württemberg and the Jos Fritz bookshop, invites you to a reading with the journalist and right-wing extremism expert Andreas Speit. His latest book Authoritarian Rebellion will be presented.

In it, Speit describes people from the center of society who are turning away from democracy: Family members, colleagues, club members or neighbors whose revolt drifts into authoritarianism. His analysis shows how anti-modern attitudes are gaining influence - and the dangers this poses for the rule of law and democracy.

The reading will be moderated by Dr. Andreas Baumer (Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung Baden Württemberg). Afterwards, guests are invited to enjoy a glass of wine and a personal discussion with the author.
