Photo lecture: The social waste disposal - insects on droppings, dead wood and carcasses
Thursday, 28/11/2024 / 06:00 PM - 07:30 PM / WaldHaus (Forest House) Freiburg
When you think of insect habitats, niches such as carrion, excrement and dead wood don't necessarily spring to mind.
Yet it is precisely these seemingly unappetizing resources that serve as habitats for many insect species.
Jörn Buse (Black Forest National Park), Jochen Schünemann (freelance ecological expert) and Peter Biedermann (Professor of Forest Entomology and Forest Conservation at the University campus Freiburg) are members of the Freiburg Entomological Working Group (FREAK).
In this illustrated lecture, they will present exciting research work on the topic.
Admission is free, donations are welcome.
