Solving human-wildlife conflicts?
Successful approaches through research projects with citizen participation
Wednesday, 12/03/2025 / 07:00 PM / Catholic Academy of the Archdiocese of Freiburg
Free entry
The zoologist and wildlife researcher Heribert Hofer from Berlin will be a guest at the Catholic Academy Freiburg, Wintererstr. 1, on Wednesday, March 12 at 7 p.m. In his lecture, he will shed light on how human-wildlife conflicts can be better understood and resolved through joint research projects.
Large mammals and birds are admired, but are often at the center of conflicts. Can they survive in the long term? Yes, says Hofer, if science, society and those affected work more closely together. He uses projects from Europe, Tanzania and Namibia to show practical solutions.
The lecture and discussion are being held in cooperation with the Musella Foundation for a Socio-Ecological Future.
Free admission. Online participation is possible. Registration at www.katholische-akademie-freiburg.de
