Marina Rudyak: Dialogue with the dragon - How strategic empathy towards China can strengthen us

China knows us much better than we know China. The more we see the country as a rival, the less we want to have anything to do with it. According to Rudyak, this is not strategic thinking; we need to expect more complexity in our dealings with China. Her book "Dialogue with the Dragon" is a plea for strategic empathy and more China competence in order to be able to act as equals in the current geopolitical conflict and to advance European foreign policy and the economy in the long term.
