Marlène (PAULA PAULA)
Thursday, 26/10/2023 / 08:00 PM / Vorderhaus - Kultur in der FABRIK
Equipped with a magnifying glass and a brave smile, Marlène devotes herself to what we prefer to overlook. It's about everything: love, dirty home Neukölln, the eternal riddle relationship, the compatibility of parenthood and being an artist, the question of what is worth living and the confrontation with dying. The lyrics dark, brave and humorous, with a pinch of provocation, vulnerability and loving wink, the music wonderfully melancholic and melodic, characterized by piano and electric guitar sounds and her unmistakable, clear voice.
With her new project PAULA PAULA she can be seen this summer with Kristina Koropecki, Gisbert zu Knyphausen, Joda Foerster and Daniel Freitag. Her first single "Kaputtes Gerät" impressed both Olli Schulz and Till Reiners and led her to an appearance on Till Reiners Happy Hour. Alone, Marlène strikes much calmer tones and invites you to smile with her, to break with old thought patterns, to sob and to hope.

Loose is a musical melange of electric guitar and vocals that lingers in the loops of the loop station. Anna and Victoire - two young students who found each other in Freiburg - combine pop, indie & elec with their own style, framed by a heavy dose of French charm. The band has released their own produced songs on all streaming platforms this year and is about to release their first debut album, where delicate tones find their fiery expression.
