Sing along: "Daughter of Zion, rejoice!"

On Saturday, December 14 from 9.30 am to 6.30 pm, the Catholic Academy Freiburg (Wintererstr. 1) invites you to a sing-along project for the third Sunday of Advent "Gaudete". Accompanied by musical and spiritual impulses (by church musician Meinrad Walter), participants will sing in several voices about the joyful anticipation and learn exciting facts about traditional songs such as "Es kommt ein Schiff geladen", which originated in a Strasbourg monastery. "Tochter Zion, freue dich!" was sung for the first time in a London opera house and a salon in Erlangen. The rehearsed works of easy difficulty will be performed in the eve mass at St. John's Church in Freiburg. Under the direction of district cantor Stephan Rahn, instrumentalists and the Freiburg church music C-course will also take part.

The event is being held in collaboration with the Office for Church Music.
