“Ink & Bleach – Experimenting with Dissolution”

Immerse yourself in the fascinating world of ink, water, and bleach—and discover how black can give rise to surprising shades of gray and new visual worlds. This workshop invites you to experiment intuitively with ink and experience the exciting reactions between water and bleach. Through dissolution, contrasts, and spontaneous changes in the materials, expressive images full of depth, texture, and creative freedom emerge.

I’m Petty Heisler, an ARTist and designer. I guide people in intuitive drawing and painting. In my classes, I create spaces for self-expression, inner clarity, and playful depth—free from the pressure to be perfect or to perform, and connected to your inner child.

What to bring:

Clothing that can handle paint stains

Curiosity, openness, and a joy in creating

Water or tea for yourself

If you’d like: a small contribution to the shared buffet (e.g., cookies, fruit, or something homemade)

An A3-sized portfolio

You’ll receive the following on site:

High-quality sketch paper (DIN A4, approx. 185–200 g/m²), up to 3 sheets

DIN A3 watercolor paper (DIN A3, approx. 250 g/m²), Guardo Artistico Aquarello, 1–2 sheets

Materials available for loan:

Lindauer black ink

Rohrer Klingner drawing ink, various colors

Water container

Bleach in a dropper bottle

Plastic gloves
