MUNDOLOGIA: Thumbs up

Book tickets

It is March 2020 when Bastian Maria and his wife Viviane want to set off on a trip around the world to Japan. Hitchhiking to the Olympic Games in Tokyo - that's the goal. Everything is well thought out. Job and apartment have been canceled. But then comes corona. What happens next will be the biggest gamble of their lives!

"Thumbs up" is a live presentation about challenges, changing plans and hitchhiking during the pandemic. Over 10,000 km through 12 countries. Bastian and Viviane are chased by the Pakistani police, threatened by an Asian elephant and picked up by Kyrgyz eagle hunters. They dance at a Punjab wedding, learn to milk goats and have to survive a threatening couchsurfing experience. Often on the edge of their personal comfort zone, they started out indefinitely, but after 1.5 years their journey comes to an abrupt end. Look forward to a live lecture with a lot of personality and the courage to try something new...
