High in the north lies an island where the elements come together to form a new land. Here, man becomes small in the face of overwhelming nature. High in the north lies Iceland, the legendary island.

Olaf Krüger has been exploring the volcanic island with great enthusiasm since 2004. He has now spent over a year there and gained deep insights into an amazingly diverse country. He portrays the idiosyncratic inhabitants of this wondrous island with humor and subtlety.

His lecture is also a feast for the eyes and ears. He pays homage to Iceland's primeval landscapes with powerful images and a carefully selected soundtrack of Icelandic music.
