Music on the move

On Sunday, November 17, at 11 a.m., the Catholic Academy of Freiburg (Wintererstr. 1) invites you to a concert by the Freiburg ensemble "L'Art de la Modulation", in which text and music from the same period are brought to life.

The 18th century was a time of change: New musical forms, instrumentations and instruments emerged, and the language of sound changed radically. Emotions, dreams and longings of the individual came more to the fore. In literature and music, diverse styles such as Empfindsamkeit, Anakreontik and Sturm und Drang developed.

The ensemble "L'Art de la Modulation" and the actress Jasmin Busch present an exciting interplay of music and texts from that era: Schobert and Rousseau, C. P. E. Bach and Klopstock, Benda and Kant, J. C. F. Bach and Lessing and many more.
