ART service in the oratory of St. Lioba
An ART service entitled "Ora et labora - a place of strength for women's convents" will take place on Saturday, March 7 at 5.30 p.m. in the oratory of St. Lioba in Freiburg-Günterstal. "Pray and work" - the Lioba sisters have been living according to this principle for almost 100 years in a former villa in Günterstal. Their house is a place of strength for them, where they come together several times a day in the oratory to draw energy and spiritual guidance for their tasks. In the liturgical space, which was artistically redesigned in 2019, the ART service takes up the work of (religious) women in and for urban society and invites people to pause for a moment and be inspired by literary texts, music and art. David Kuen (horn) and Brigitte Fröhlich (organ) will provide the musical accompaniment for the evening.
The service is being held in cooperation with the Department of Art, Culture and the Church in the archiepiscopal ordinariate of Freiburg and as part of the City of Freiburg's International Women's Day campaign week. Admission is free, registration at www.katholische-akademie-freiburg.de
