Affordable housing is in short supply in many places. In Freiburg, too, numerous groups are competing for a limited supply.
In cities in particular, there are problems nationwide in providing socially acceptable housing for everyone. The number of social housing units is falling nationwide, rents are rising, as are construction prices and building permits are collapsing. As a result, the issue of housing is becoming "social explosive no. 1", as the Association for Housing Construction puts it.

But what can be done? What must the new federal government do and what specific measures can be taken in Freiburg? Above all, the question is: How can we create a social housing and construction policy?
