As part of Regionale 26, the Galerie für Gegenwartskunst, E-WERK, presents a group exhibition featuring works by Elisabeth Bereznicki, Haein Cho, Leonard Fendler-Moser, Anas Kahal, Ernestyna Orlowska, Jeremy Palluce, Katharina Rüll, and Romy Yedidia.
The group exhibition is based on the idea that waste is not just a by-product, but a motor of capitalism. The works presented turn discarded objects into artistic material. They take up the seductive aesthetics of consumer goods and reveal their hidden attraction. Instead of idealizing nature or negatively evaluating waste, the works focus on desire as the driving force of the capitalist system.
