The "Planetary Health" lecture series starting on Monday, November 11, 2024 will shed light on the consequences of the climate crisis and offer solutions for the environment and health. It comprises seven lectures.

- Monday, 9 December 2024: "Understanding the Impact of Climate Change on Human Health: Lessons from Low- and Middle-Income Countries" Dr. Sandra Barteit, Institute of Global Health, Heidelberg
- Monday, January 13, 2025: "Solutions-Oriented Sustainability Learning" Dr. Katja Brundiers, Transformational Sustainability Science, University campus Freiburg and Prof. Dr. Arnim Wiek, Institute of Economics, University campus Freiburg
- Monday, January 20, 2025: "Impact of global warming on extreme hydrological events" Prof. Dr. Manuela Brunner, Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich

The lecture series is a joint event of the Institute for Infection Prevention and Hospital Hygiene of the University Medical Center Freiburg, the Center for Medicine and Society (ZMG) of the University campus Freiburg and the Cluster of Excellence initiative "Future Forests". The lectures will be held in English and cover a wide range of topics relating to climate and human health.
