Riso Club: The analog is political - Lecture and print workshop in the series Girl, Woman, Other

What difference do analog spaces, forms of protest and printing processes make compared to the digital world? How do they strengthen public space and create tangible communities and alliances? How can we use, value and defend them? In the Riso Club with author Katharina Mevissen and graphic designer Simon Wahlers (www.zweifel.jetzt), posters will be created for March 8, inspired by feminist printed matter from earlier protests and the history of the pioneers of analog printing. Because women and FLINTA have been printing for a long time.

After an introductory lecture, loud and visually powerful lettering and motifs are created - collaged protest art, reproduced on the in-house risograph. A studio for encounters between generations, languages and experiences around our Japanese high-speed printing machine for the feminist day of struggle, on which the results will be displayed in the urban space.
