The demands placed on leadership are changing. Complex tasks and new forms of collaboration are increasingly calling traditional leadership models into question. Shared leadership—the deliberate distribution of leadership responsibility among several people—offers the opportunity to pool different skills, share responsibility, and position organizations for the future.
Prerequisites, Opportunities, Challenges
But how does shared leadership work in practice? What prerequisites does it require, what challenges does it present, and what added value does it create for companies and employees? The event “Shared Leadership – Leading Together, Acting Successfully” addresses these questions. In his keynote address, leadership expert and author Randolf Jessl explains why leadership shared among several people often leads to greater engagement and better results.
In the subsequent panel discussion, Kathrin Meyer and Sonja Sturm from JobRad, among others, will share their experiences as new HR leaders in a shared leadership model. Dr. Lena Schnabel from Fraunhofer ISE will contribute to the discussion with insights into a leadership model that specifically distributes responsibility across different roles.
