- In cooperation with the Dante Alighieri Society Freiburg e.V. - Until today, the sonnet, invented around 1230 in Sicily, has an unbroken fascination. In the following time it spread over Italy (Dante, Petrarca) in whole Europe (Spain: Gongora; France: Ronsard; England: Shakespeare; Germany: Gryphius). Always changeable in its contents, it always remained the same: a highly compressed word-art work, which convinces until today by its architecture, its artistry and thought-leadership. No other poetic form has so much mathematics, self-reflection and "metapoetry" inscribed in it. - Registration required.
