"Otherwise it was quiet - contemporary witnesses of the night of the Freiburg bombings"

To mark the 80th anniversary of the bombing of Freiburg on November 27, 1944, the film production company B2W filmworks GmbH, in collaboration with the FWTM, invites you to a special screening of the documentary film "Sonst war es still - Zeitzeugen der Freiburger Bombennacht erzählen" in the historic Westhoff building. The makeshift building from the reconstruction period, which served as the filming location, forms the authentic backdrop. The film offers moving insights into the memories of contemporary witnesses who experienced the night of the bombing as children and young people.

Admission is free, seating is limited. Admission is not guaranteed.

Between the two film screenings at 6:30 pm and 9:30 pm, the "Night Prayer in Remembrance of the Bombing of Freiburg 80 Years Ago" will take place at 8 pm in Freiburg Minster.

The film screening is supported by funding from the program "Zukunftsfähige Innenstädte und Zentren" (ZIZ) of the Federal Ministry of Housing, Urban Development and Building. The film was produced in cooperation with the Freiburger Münsterbauverein.
